Meeting Minutes July 14, 2025
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- Discussed running some electricity into the rifle building.
- Discussed revamping the rifle range in the future.
7:30 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Nothing to report.
Pop: No report.
Rental Committee Report: Aug. 23rd the hall is rented.
Pistol Team: The outdoor league shoots on Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.
Trap Team: Jim reported for practices from 5-25 through 6-25. The team took in $296, expenses were $217, kept $23, and turned in $24.The next trap shooting practices will be on Aug 5th and 19th from 5 pm till dark. Practices will continue to rotate every other Tuesday night.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Mike reported that there will not be any meat shoots till after the Rendezvous which will be held over Labor Day weekend.
Junior Rifle Team: Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes. Contact Mike Ripley if interested.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: No report. The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am, with the first shoot starting around 10 am.
Rifle: Al took in $200, expenses were $0, and turned in $200. He reported that quite a few shooters shot in the new American Hunter class and that he will continue that class due to the interest. The next 100-yard steel egg shoot will be held on August 10th. The next 200-yard steel gong match will be held on August 24th. Shooting begins around 9 am and continues till about 3 pm.
Membership: Brian took in $45, maintenance fund $5, and general fund $40. Key cards were $0. The total membership is 582, of which 445 are senior/life charter members. There are 35 new members for 2025.
Old Business: The pistol team made some improvements to the target holders on the outdoor pistol range. They also did an excellent job cleaning up the side berms of the range.
New Business: Nothing new to report.
