Meeting Minutes June 9, 2025
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- Discussed a flagpole purchase and what it will take to install.
7:31 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder(absent), Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Nothing to report.
Pop: No report.
Rental Committee Report: Aug. 23rd the hall is rented.
Pistol Team: The outdoor league has resumed and will be on Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.
Trap Team: The next trap shooting practices will be on July 8th and 22nd from 5 pm till dark. Practices will continue to rotate every other Tuesday night.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: No report. There is a meat shoot on the 2nd Sunday of every month. The shoot starts at 11 am and is open to members and the public.
Junior Rifle Team: Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes. Contact Mike Ripley if interested.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: No report. The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am, with the first shoot starting around 10 am.
Rifle: Al took in $118, expensed were $8, and turned in $110. Al mentioned with all the new shooters entering the events he is considering breaking the events into two classes. He is also thinking of having a unique “end-of-season” shoot in September. The next 100-yard steel egg shoot will be held on July 13th. The next 200-yard steel gong match will be held on July 20th. Shooting begins around 9 am and continues till about 3 pm.
Membership: Brian took in $180, maintenance fund $20, and general fund $160. Key cards were $0. The total membership is 581, of which 444 are senior/life charter members. There are 34 new members for 2025.
Old Business: Nothing to report.
New Business: Joe announced that some members of the pistol team are making some improvements to the target holders on the outdoor range.
