Meeting Minutes July 13, 2026
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- Abuse of the rules on the pistol range; new rules to come.
7:30 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership(absent), James Hacke- Secretary/Trap(absent), Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Nothing to report.
Rental Committee Report: August 14th, 21st, 22nd, and 28th the hall is rented.
Pistol Team: Joe reported that there has been more damage at the outdoor pistol range. People continue to shoot the metal target holders and holder pegs. There are still bullets impacting the ground before the dirt backstop resulting in ricochets. There will be new rules posted for shooting on the outdoor pistol range. The summer league has started. They shoot on Thursdays at the outdoor pistol range starting at 2 pm.
Trap Team: Next practices will be held on August 11th and 25th. Practices will be $5 for 25 birds. They will continue every other Tuesday from 5 pm till everyone is done shooting. Open to the public.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Preparations for the rendezvous are underway. Any flintlock or percussion muzzle loaders with open sights may be shot for scores. The trail shoot will be on the 2nd Sunday of each month and begins at 11 am.
Fun Indoor Shoot: The fun shoot is on break till later this year. The indoor .22 rifle fun shoot is on Monday mornings around 9 am.
Rifle: Al took in $402, expenses were $0, and he turned in $402. August 9th will be the next 100-yard egg shoot. July 26th will be the next 200-yard gong shoot. Shooting begins at 9 am and will run until 3 pm or until everyone is done. These events are open to the public. Any .22lr rifle configuration is welcome.
Membership: Brian took in $90, maintenance fund $10, and to the general fund $80. Key cards were $0. The total membership is 600, of which 463 are senior/life charter members. There are 75 new members for 2026.
Old Business: Nothing to report.
New Business: Will need to replace the culvert pipe between the main hall and trap fields.
