Meeting Minutes May 11, 2026
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- Discussed our 2027 dues, hall rentals, and range rentals.
- Dues for 2027 will increase $10, hall rentals starting in January will be $250 for members and $400 for non-members, the outdoor range rentals will increase to $200 per day.
7:33 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Chris paid for the new chairs that came to the amount of $1,297.44. $114.99 was paid for mower repairs and gas.
Rental Committee Report:
Pistol Team: The summer league has started. They shoot on Thursdays at the outdoor pistol range.
Trap Team: Practice night will start on June 2nd. Practices will be $5 for 25 birds. They will continue every other Tuesday from 5 pm till everyone is done shooting.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: The meat shoot on Mother’s Day had a low turnout. The number of shooters just covered expenses. Any flintlock or percussion muzzle loaders with open sights may be shot for scores. The trail shoot will be on the 2nd Sunday of each month and begins at 11 am.
Fun Indoor Shoot: The fun shoot is on break till later this year. The indoor .22 rifle fun shoot is on Monday mornings around 9 am.
Rifle: Al took in $248, expenses were $0, and he turned in $248. June 14th will be the next 100-yard egg shoot. June 28th will be the next 200-yard gong shoot. Shooting begins at 9 am and will run until 3 pm or until everyone is done. These events are open to the public. Any .22lr rifle configuration is welcome.
Membership: Brian took in $105, maintenance fund $10, and general fund $95. Key cards were $0. The total membership is 598, of which 459 are senior/life charter members. There are 71 new members for 2026.
Old Business: Nothing to report.
New Business: If anyone has access to old conveyor belt that could be used for target holders at the rifle range please let Al know or just leave up by the garage.
