Meeting Minutes April 13, 2026
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- There will be some changes to the rifle range bench area later this year.
- Dakota from Clean Crusader is back to cleaning the hall again.
7:33 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Chris paid the spring taxes amounting to $898.38.
Rental Committee Report: April 18th, the hall is reserved.
Pistol Team: Joe took in $242, had expenses of $142, kept $30, and turned in $70 to the club. Joe announced that the Moraine pistol team won their indoor league. The summer league has started. They shoot on Thursdays at the outdoor pistol range.
Trap Team: Practice nights will start again on Tuesday nights sometime in May.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Mike took in $530, expenses were $275, he kept $75, and turned in $180 to the club. Mike said there were 39 people who attended the frolic. Any flintlock or percussion muzzle loaders with open sights may be shot for scores. The trail shoot will be on the 2nd Sunday of each month and begins at 11 am.
Fun Indoor Shoot: Barry turned in $155. The indoor .22 rifle fun shoot is on Monday mornings around 9 am.
Rifle: Al took in $269, expenses were $20, and he turned in $249. May 9th will be the next 100-yard egg shoot. May 31st will be the next 200-yard gong shoot. Shooting begins at 9 am and will run until 3 pm or until everyone is done. These events are open to the public. Any .22lr rifle configuration is welcome.
Membership: Brian took in $450, maintenance fund $25, and general fund $405. Key cards were $20. The total membership is 596, of which 457 are senior/life charter members. There are 66 new members for 2026.
Old Business: Brian said that the rear door latch was adjusted again and should be working. Please report if you experience any issues getting into the rear door. Mike had purchased and delivered 50 more chairs for the main hall.
