Meeting Minutes March 9, 2026
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- Looking into purchasing a few more chairs for inside the hall.0
- Possible need for a new cleaning service for the hall.
7:31 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Chris paid the Erie Insurance bill amounting to $5,933.
Rental Committee Report: April 18th, the hall is reserved.
Pistol Team: Joe took in $361, had expenses of $194, kept $50, and turned in $117 to the club. The winter league is coming to an end. April will start shooting outdoors again. They usually practice on Wednesday afternoon if anyone is interested in joining them.
Trap Team: The winter league brought in $2,773, expenses were $2,381, kept $117, and turned in $275 to the club. Practice nights will resume in late spring.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Mike took in $130, expenses were $50, he kept $20, and turned in $60 to the club. Mike said the Frolic will be on March 28th. It will begin around 9 am. They will have lunch at the cabin and awards around 4 pm. No trail shoot in March. Any flintlock or percussion muzzle loaders with open sights may be shot for scores. The trail shoot will be on the 2nd Sunday of each month and begins at 11 am.
Fun Indoor Shoot: Barry turned in $200. The indoor .22 rifle fun shoot is on Monday mornings around 9 am.
Rifle: Al took in $233, expenses were $20, and he turned in $213. On March 29th, there will be a 200-yard gong shoot. On April 10th, there will be a 100-yard egg shoot. On April 26th, there will be a 200-yard gong shoot. Shooting begins at 9 am and will run until 3 pm or until everyone is done.
Membership: Brian took in $1,485, maintenance fund $180, and general fund $1,305. Key cards were $90. The total membership is 576, of which 443 are senior/life charter members. There are 54 new members for 2026. February will be the last month to renew your membership.
Old Business: Pistol team ordered some parts for the interior exhaust fan.
