Meeting Minutes February 9, 2026
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- Mike was able to get the Hunter Safety Course back on Sept 22nd and 23rd.
7:32 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Typical monthly bills.
Rental Committee Report: March 7th, the hall is rented.
Pistol Team: Joe took in $364, had expenses of $221, kept $43, and turned in $100 to the club. The winter league is shooting on Thursday nights from 2 pm till approximately 8 or 9 pm. They usually practice on Wednesday afternoon if anyone is interested in joining them.
Trap Team: Trap has ended until late spring. Jim will have a report prepared for the next meeting.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: No report. Mike said the Frolic will be on March 28th. It will begin around 9 am. They will have lunch at the cabin and awards around 4 pm. No trail shoot in March. March 8th will be a paper shoot at 50 yards. Any flintlock or percussion muzzle loaders with open sights may be shot for scores. The trail shoot will be on the 2nd Sunday of each month and begins at 11 am.
Fun Indoor Shoot: The indoor .22 rifle fun shoot is on Monday mornings around 9 am.
Rifle: Al took in $169, expenses were $0, and he turned in $169. On February 22nd, there will be a 200-yard gong shoot. March 8th, there will be a 100-yard egg shoot. March 29th, there will be a 200-yard gong shoot. Shooting begins at 9 am and will run until 3 pm or until everyone is done.
Membership: Brian took in $4,555, maintenance fund $560, and general fund $3,995. Key cards were $280. The total membership is 525, of which 479 are senior/life charter members. There are 44 new members for 2026. February will be the last month to renew your membership.
Old Business: Nothing to report.
New Business: The louvers on the outside of the building for the exhaust fan are sticking open. The pistol team said they will look at the exhaust fan system.
