Meeting Minutes January 12, 2026
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- Reviewed our 2025 expenses.
7:35 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder(absent), Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Paid $2,997.89 to McKnight Oil to fill the heating oil tank.
Rental Committee Report: Scout Troop 33 will be using the main hall from Jan. 16th (arriving around 4:30 pm) through the 18th (departing around 10:30 am).
Pistol Team: Joe took in $281, had expenses of $177, kept $31, and turned in $73 to the club. The winter league is shooting on Thursday nights from 2 pm till approximately 8 or 9 pm. They usually practice on Wednesday afternoon if anyone is interested in joining them.
Trap Team: The winter trap league is coming to an end on February 1st. They shoot on Sundays from noon till about 3:30 pm. Anyone is welcome to still shoot practice during the Sunday league.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: No report. The monthly trail walk shoot is back! Any flintlock or percussion muzzle loaders with open sights may be shot for scores. The trail shoot will continue on the 2nd Sunday of each month and begins at 11 am.
Fun Indoor Shoot: The indoor .22 rifle fun shoot is on Monday mornings around 9 am. Barry turned in $90.
Rifle: Al took in $84, expenses were $0, and he turned in $84. Al reported that in the 2025 season, there were 293 scores turned in. Jan 17th, there will be a rimfire blackjack challenge shoot at distances of 100 and 200 yards. Shooting begins at 9 am and will run until 3 pm or until everyone is done.
Membership: Brian took in $3,873, maintenance fund $375, and general fund $3,498. Key cards were $260. The total membership is 584, of which 471 are senior/life charter members. There were 65 new members for 2025. There are 33 new members for 2026. It is time to renew your membership for the year 2026. February will be the last month to renew your membership.
Old Business: Nothing to report.
New Business: The louvers on the outside of the building for the exhaust fan are sticking open.
