Meeting Minutes August 11, 2025
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
- Discussed purchasing some signs to put around the club perimeter.
7:34 pm – The meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Chris said our fall taxes will be due. The early fee to pay is $2,501.
Pop: Money brought in was used to purchase more pop to put in the fridge.
Rental Committee Report: August 21st, the pistol team will be using the hall. On Aug. 23rd, the hall is rented.
Pistol Team: The outdoor league shoots on Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.
Trap Team: The next trap shooting practices will be on Sept. 2nd, 16th, and 30th from 5 pm till dark. Practices will continue to rotate every other Tuesday night.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Mike reported that there will not be any meat shoots till after the Rendezvous, which will be held over Labor Day weekend.
Junior Rifle Team: Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes. Contact Mike Ripley if interested.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: No report. The “fun shoot” is on break.
Rifle: Al took in $215, expenses were $12, and turned in $203. The next 200-yard steel gong match will be held on August 24th. Shooting begins around 9 am and continues till about 3 pm. September 7th will be a combination shoot combining paper and steel targets at the 100 and 200 yard distances. On September 27th, there will be a low-light 100-yard steel egg shoot starting at 7 pm. Sight-in time will begin earlier.
Membership: Brian took in $45, maintenance fund $5, and general fund $40. Key cards were $0. The total membership is 583, of which 446 are senior/life charter members. There are 36 new members for 2025.
Old Business: Nothing to report.
New Business: Discussed the option of purchasing a spreader for the tractor to spread some lime around the club. The new flagpole is going to be installed on August 23rd.
