Meeting Minutes February 10, 2024
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
· Discussed the club’s insurance policy.
· Reviewed how the remodel has been going.
7:37 pm – Meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Chris cashed in both CDs and combined them into one new one with better interest rates.
Pop: Steve turned in $9.
Rental Committee Report: April 5th and 6th Constables
Pistol Team: Joe took in $107, expenses were $0, kept $32, and turned in $75. Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.
Trap Team: Jim reported that the winter league has ended. He will have a report next month. The banquet will be held on March 22 from noon till dark at the trap field.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Mike announced that the Frolic will be held on March 29th and will be an all-day event. There is a meat shoot on the 2nd Sunday of every month. The shoot starts at 11 am and is open to members and the public.
Junior Rifle Team: Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes. Contact Mike Ripley if interested.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: No report. The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am, with the first shoot starting around 10 am.
Rifle: Al brought in $83, expenses were $9, and he turned in $74. Al reported that the next 200-yard gong shoots will be on Feb. 23. He is also introducing an offhand shoot for gongs located at the 100-yard range. March 12th and March 30th will be the next .22 caliber shoots.
Membership: Brian took in $6,210, maintenance fund $640, general fund $5,570. Key cards were $330. The total membership is 526, of which 484 are senior/life charter members. There are 16 new members for 2025.
Old Business: The indoor shooting exhaust fan has been replaced. Brian is trying to get more info for club events put onto the club’s Facebook page. A big thanks to all the members of the pistol team who donated their time to refurbishing the trophy case in the hall.
New Business: Jim reported that one of the current cameras isn’t working, and he’ll investigate to get the problem resolved. The flooring that was purchased to be installed on the walls as wainscoting is no longer going to be used. It is now up for sale.
