Meeting Minutes January 13, 2025
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
· Reviewed the year-end income/expense report.
· Talked about adding some new signs around the outside perimeter of the club.
7:35 pm – Meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Chris was looking into renewing the current CDs.
Pop: Nothing to report.
Rental Committee Report: Jan 17th, 18th, and 19th Boy Scout Troop 33 will be using the main hall
Pistol Team: Joe took in $247, expenses were $179, kept $20, and turned in $48. Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.
Trap Team: Jim reported that the winter league is ending on January26th. The banquet will be held on March 22 from noon till dark at the trap field.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Nothing to report. There is a meat shoot on the 2nd Sunday of every month. The shoot starts at 11 am and is open to members and the public.
Junior Rifle Team: Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes. Contact Mike Ripley if interested.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: No report. The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am with the first shoot starting around 10 am.
Rifle: Al reported the next 200-yard gong shoots will be on Jan. 25th and Feb. 23. The gong shoot held on Jan. 25th will have a limit on the ammo used. He is also introducing an offhand shoot for gongs located at the 100-yard range. The ammo used will be required to be made in America.
Membership: Brian took in $3,970, maintenance fund $465, general fund $3,505. Key cards were $290. The total membership is 336 of which 481 are senior/life charter members. There were 70 new members for the year 2024 and 11 new members for 2025.
Old Business: Election for the 2025 year officers were completed. The only change for the year 2025 was Al Vogan was appointed to be the new rifle director.
New Business: Steve said the indoor shooting exhaust fan will need to be looked at. It runs for a minute or two then stops.
Good of the Association: Brian Dobson donated $200 toward the club renovations.
