Meeting Minutes December 9, 2024
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
· Reviewed the progress of the hall remodel.
7:36 pm – Meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder(absent), Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: $3,061.74 was the next installment for the hall renovation materials.
Pop: Steve turned in $10.
Rental Committee Report: Jan 17th, 18th, and 19th Boy Scout Troop 33 will be using the main hall
Pistol Team: Joe took in $297, expenses were $176, kept $36, and turned in $85. Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.
Trap Team: Jim reported that the winter league is reaching their halfway point. The league will continue every Sunday till January 26th. The league is open to members and the public. You can still come to shoot practices during that time if you would not like to shoot in the league. The event time is from noon to 4ish.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Nothing to report. There is a meat shoot on the 2nd Sunday of every month. The shoot starts at 11 am and is open to members and the public.
Junior Rifle Team: Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes. Contact Mike Ripley if interested.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: No report. The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am with the first shoot starting around 10 am.
Rifle: Al reported the rifle shoots are on break. The next .22 caliber 200-yard gong shoot will possibly be held on January 25th and February 22nd. The next gong shoot will have a limit on the ammo used. The ammo used will be required to be made in America. Al also brought up that he will be meeting with different clubs to see if a traveling league can be put together.
Membership: Brian took in $1,820, maintenance fund $175, general fund $1,645. Key cards were $60. The total membership is 633 of which 479 are senior/life charter members. There are 72 new members for the 2024 year.
Old Business: The permanent fix for the septic tank alarm still needs to be done. The main hall is still closed for renovations being done to the inside. There are some wooden folding chairs at the club that are going to be removed. They are free to anyone who wants them. Contact Steve Gustkey if you would like to take any.
New Business: Officer positions are open for nominations for the upcoming January election. Al was appointed to the position of rifle team director. Steve said that the trim for the windows, doors, and walls will be coming in very soon.
Good of the Association: Robert and Janice Wilson donated $500 towards the cabin fund.
