Meeting Minutes August 12, 2024
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
· Reviewed a few ceiling tile samples for the remodel. (Liked the Cirrus example.)
7:30 pm – Meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Fall taxes are due for the amount of $2,450. Motion made and voted on to pay early.
Pop: Steve turned in $9.
Rental Committee Report: August 24th. September 7th and 8th constables, September 14th main hall all day Butler Abate Chapter, September 28th main hall from 5-7 pm. October 8th SRU 3-9 pm, October 12th 5-7 pm.
Pistol Team: Joe reported the next league will start in September. Every Thursday night from 2 pm till dark.
Trap Team: September 10th is the next night to shoot. Shooting starts around 5 pm. It costs $4 for a round of 25 clay targets.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Mike reported for 2 months. He brought in $300, expenses were $200, kept $30, and turned in $70. Labor Day weekend will be the annual rendezvous will be from 9-5 pm. The rendezvous is open to the public.
Junior Rifle Team: Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes. Contact Mike Ripley if interested.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: Nothing to report. The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am with the first shoot starting around 10 am.
Rifle: Al took in $137, expenses $4, and turned in $133. Al will host a steel egg shoot at the 100-yard rifle range for .22 caliber rifles on August 25th and September 29th. Shooting will begin around 10 am. Al is hosting a bench paper match shoot to be held on August 14th and September 11th from 1 pm to dusk.
Membership: Brian took in $340, maintenance fund $30, general fund $310. Key cards were $0. The total membership is 614 which consists of 467 senior/life charter members. There are 52 new members for the 2024 year.
Old Business: The front-end repairs on the Ford tractor are completed.
New Business: Reported that the zero-turn mower starter is beginning to fail. The mower also had an exhaust leak that will need to be addressed.
