Meeting Minutes June 10, 2024
7:00 pm – The board of directors met before the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
The water tank sprung a leak. Steve reported the repairs are done.
7:32 pm – Meeting was called to order.
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder(absent), Tom Horstman- Trap(absent), Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: $1,800 was spent on 67 tons of limestone for the parking lot.
Pop: Steve turned in $14.
Rental Committee Report: June 22 main hall from 5–7 pm.
Pistol Team: Joe reported the summer league has begun. Every Thursday night from 2pm till dark.
Trap Team: Practice nights on every other Tuesday have resumed. Shooting starts around 5 pm. It costs $4 for a round of 25 clay targets.
Black Powder / Meat Shoots: Took in $150, expenses were $75, kept $22, and turned in $53.
Junior Rifle Team: Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes. Contact Mike Ripley if interested.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: Nothing to report. The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am with the first shoot starting around 10 am.
Rifle: Al took in $54, expenses $0, and turned in $54. Al will host a steel egg shoot at the 100-yard rifle range for .22 caliber rifles on June 30th, July 28th, and August 25th. Shooting will begin around 10 am. Al is hosting a bench paper match shoot to be held on June 12th, July 10th, and August 14th from 1 pm to dusk.
Membership: Brian took in $210, maintenance fund $20, general fund $190. Key cards were $0. The total membership is 600 which consists of 460 senior/life charter members. There are 44 new members for the 2024 year.
Old Business: Steve reported that the leftover cement bags are sold and gone. The main hall remodel demolishing is still on track to begin some time near the end of October or beginning of November.
New Business: Steve said the water holding tank had sprung a leak. There was a new tank and pressure switch installed. Al redid the target holder at the 100 yard rifle range. Al discussed a possible new .22 caliber event for 200 yards. Still looking to add more dirt behind the 100 yard rifle range.
