Meeting Minutes September 12, 2022
7:00 pm – Board of directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
· Steve reported that the iron filter stopped working and had a new one installed along with a new motor on the water softener.
· Time for the annual furnace tune-up.
· Recommendation was made to add a dehumidifier in the basement.
7:31 pm – Meeting was called to order
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership(absent) Steve Gustkey filled in for Brian, James Hacke- Secretary, Roger Carfangia- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Tom Horstman- Trap(absent).
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: The $2,309.43 fall taxes were paid. Paid $1,450 to Keystone Water Systems for the installation of a new iron filter and motor in the water softener system
Pop: Steve turned in $8.
Rental Committee Report: All-day hall rental on Oct. 22. There was $900 turned in from rentals.
Pistol Team: Brian Dean directed the state pistol match that was held on Aug. 19 & 20. Rodger reported that there was a lower turnout for this year’s match. $1,320 was brought in with $1,260 in expenses, kept $18, and turned in $42. The pistol team gathers on Thursdays at 5 pm to shoot 22 cal. & Centerfire 32, 38, & 45 cal. All are welcome to come practice.
Trap Team: Jim reported they are practicing on Tuesdays and will continue every other Tuesday.
Black Powder: Mike announced that the rendezvous had a good turnout. There were over 100 registrations and around 90 shooters. He said he would have the full report next month.
Meat Shoot: The previous 2 meat shoots brought in $390, expenses were $215, kept $52, and turned in $123. The meat shoots are held on the 2nd Sunday of every month. They start at 11 am and are open to members and the public.
Junior Rifle Team: Mike Ripley is no longer running the Junior Rifle team. Anyone that is interested in taking over please contact Mike or a board of directors.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: The fun shoots have come to an end and will continue in the upcoming fall.
Membership: There were 4 new applicants in attendance. Steve collected $200, $20 goes to the maintenance fund, and $180 to the general fund.
Old Business: No one was present to report on the new rifle shoots. Nothing else was discussed.
New Business: Steve took care of a small bee problem that was in the basement.
