7:35 pm – Meeting was called to order \u2013 Pledge of Allegiance & Conservation pledge<\/p>\n
Introduction of Officers<\/strong>: Mike Cumberland- President, Stephen Gustkey- Pistol, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Recording Secretary, Mike Ripley- Junior rifle\/black powder.<\/p>\n Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: Steve read the treasurer\u2019s report in John’s absence.<\/p>\n Bills and Communications<\/strong>: Normal monthly bills.<\/p>\n Pop: <\/strong>Steve turned in $14.<\/p>\n Rental Committee Report: <\/strong>Peggy turned in $575. SRU July 11th<\/sup>, Aug 4 between 10-2pm, Pistol match Aug. 10, 11, 12, Aug. 18. Aug, 25. Sept 25 & 26 (Hunter Safety Class).<\/p>\n Pistol Team<\/strong>: Steve turned in $150. The pistol team shoots on Thursdays, outdoors starting in May, from 5 PM till dark. 22 cal. & Centerfire 32, 38, & 45 cal. All welcome to come practice.<\/p>\n Trap Team: <\/strong>Summer league has started and is not too late to join. See Tom or Jim on Tuesdays with any questions. Practice is on Tuesdays 5pm – dark, $3.50 per 25 targets. Open to the general public, club members, and new shooters.<\/p>\n Black Powder<\/strong>: Nothing to report. Rendezvous is coming up on Sept. 1st<\/sup> and 2nd<\/sup> . 2nd <\/sup>Sunday of each month 11:00 am are the meat shoots (Black powder, closest to bulls eye).<\/p>\n Junior Rifle Team<\/strong>: Due to low turn out Mike announced junior rifle is on hold for now. May resume in fall if there is a demand for it. Contact Mike Ripley with any questions or interest.<\/p>\n Archery: <\/strong>Still looking for any members willing to join together to make a team to practice.<\/p>\n Fun Indoor Shoot: <\/strong>\u00a0Dickie announced that the fun shoot has come to an end and will start up again in the fall\/winter. They normally shoot every Monday 10am-4pm. Everyone is welcome. Iron\/Peep sights with .22 caliber rifles from a rested position. Closest to bullseye wins a prize.<\/p>\n Membership<\/strong>: Brian read new memberships and turned in $360 of which $35 to maintenance fund and $325 to the general fund. $0- was turned in for key cards. He reported 83 new members for 2018 which brings a total of 438 Sr, Life and Charter members. Total membership is 609.<\/p>\n Old Business: <\/strong>Steve announced that he got 15 new pistol target stands for the outdoor pistol range.<\/p>\n New Business: <\/strong>Steve will be modifying some of the old pistol stands with a spike on the bottom so shooters can stick the stand into the ground closer to the shooting pavilion for a closer shot. NOTE:<\/strong> If you plan on using the target stands closer to the pavilion please remove any stands behind it to prevent ricochets. Jim made a motion to purchase a few barrel or stand fans to have in the main hall to move some air during rentals and hall usage. Was a unanimous second. Fans will be bought and available to use by next meeting.<\/p>\n Good of the Association: <\/strong>Remember to police your brass and keep all shots within target holders. Also feel free to replace any shot up target holders at the rifle range.
