These are the list of issues that were discussed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>John Hiser paid normal utility bills.<\/li>\n<li>2016 Summary shows we should have money for some club improvements in 2017<\/li>\n<li>Question was brought up about getting brighter lights over indoor range<\/li>\n<li>Group expenses and forms may be reevaluated on what is turned into club,<\/li>\n<li>along with club supplies and mowing bills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>7:39pm &#8211; Meeting was called to order &#8211; Pledge of Allegiance &amp; Conservation pledge<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction of Officers<\/strong>: Stephen Gustkey-Pistol, Mike Cumberland-President, Jim Hacke- Secretary, Brian Jesteadt-Membership, Mike Ripley-Jr. Rifle\/Black Powder and Tom Horstman- Trap.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: John Hiser reported there was noting new this month to report.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pop: <\/strong>Steve turned in $8 from pop sales out of fridge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rental Committee Report: <\/strong>January 14 will be a firearms safety class at club being directed by US Law Shield.\u00a0 Is free to all members and $10 to non members.\u00a0 Seats filling up quickly so don&#8217;t hesitate to register.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pistol Team<\/strong>: Pistol team had nothing to report other then they will be shooting at home over the next couple weeks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trap Team: <\/strong>Tom is turning in $39.62 from hosting the Little League Shoot on January 8, 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Black Powder<\/strong>: Mike reported they had their yearly deer hunt after Christmas.\u00a0 Low turn out from last meat shoot so noting to turn in from that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior Rifle Team<\/strong>: Due to the large turn out of kids Junior Rifle is\u00a0 now being split up into 2 groups of beginner and advanced.\u00a0 Advanced shooters will be meeting on the 1<sup>st<\/sup> and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Tuesday of the month while beginners will be shooting on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and 4<sup>th<\/sup> Tuesday of each month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Archery:<\/strong> Still looking for members who want to put together a team of shooters to practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun Indoor Shoot: <\/strong>Dickie turned in $130 from 2 nights of shooting.\u00a0 They shoot 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 3<sup>rd<\/sup> and 4<sup>th<\/sup> Monday every month @ 7pm. everyone is welcome.\u00a0 Open sights with .22 caliber rifles from a rested position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Membership<\/strong>: Brian read new memberships and collected $3,360 of which $345 to maintenance fund and $3015 to general fund. Brian mentioned there are still about 350 existing members that still need to renew by February 13, 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Old Business: <\/strong>Jon Hiser said he is still working on getting the CMP correspondence forms filled out and submitted.\u00a0 BOD announced again that they will be meeting on January 16, 2017 at 7 pm to discuss projects and upgrades that need done around club.\u00a0 They welcomed any member who has an idea to contact a BOD via email of phone so their ideas can be added to the list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Business: <\/strong>Dickie requested the club looks into getting some brighter lighting above the indoor range.<\/p>\n<p>8:09 pm \u2013 George made motion to adjourn meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moraine Conservation and Sportsman\u2019s Club Meeting Minutes for January 9, 2017 &nbsp; 7:00pm \u2013 Board of Directors met prior to the general membership meeting.
