These are the items that were discussed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discussed purchasing heating oil for the hall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Al proposed multiple options for perimeter signs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>7:32 pm \u2013 The meeting was called to order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Introduction of Officers<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary\/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: Chris read the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bills and Communications<\/strong>:&nbsp; Chris paid $2,501.41 for the property\u2019s fall taxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pop: <\/strong>Nothing to report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rental Committee Report:<\/strong> &nbsp;Penn State will be using the pistol range and hall on Sept. 13<sup>th<\/sup> and 14<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pistol Team<\/strong>: &nbsp;&nbsp;The outdoor league has come to an end.&nbsp; The winter league will begin on Sept. 25<sup>th<\/sup> and shoot on Thursday nights from 2 pm till approximately 8 or 9 pm. &nbsp;&nbsp;They usually practice on Wednesday afternoon if anyone is interested in joining them.&nbsp; Joe said they are planning on clearing some of the overgrowth around the outdoor pistol range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trap Team:&nbsp; <\/strong>Jim reported for practices between July 8<sup>th<\/sup> and Aug. 19<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; There was $280 brought in, the expenses were $201.50, the team kept $23.50, and he turned in $55 to the club.&nbsp; He also turned in an additional $32 from the previous practices after discovering a reporting error.&nbsp; The next trap shooting practices will be on Oct. 14<sup>th<\/sup> and 28<sup>th<\/sup>. from 5 pm till dark.&nbsp; Practices will continue to rotate every other Tuesday night. The winter trap league will begin on Nov. 2<sup>nd<\/sup> from noon till about 4 pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Black Powder \/ Meat Shoots<\/strong>:\u00a0 Mike reported they had great weather and a decent turnout for the Rendezvous event.\u00a0 He brought in $1,701, the expenses were $500, he kept $1, and turned in $1,200 to the club.\u00a0 The monthly trail walk shoot will begin again on Oct. 12<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Any flintlock or percussion muzzle loaders with open sights may be shot for scores.\u00a0 The trail shoot will continue on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Sunday of each month.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Junior Rifle Team<\/strong>:&nbsp; Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes.&nbsp; Contact Mike Ripley if interested.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Archery:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fun Indoor Shoot:<\/strong>&nbsp; No report.&nbsp; The \u201cfun shoot\u201d is planned to resume around the end of September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rifle:<\/strong>&nbsp; Al took in $220, expenses were $16, and he turned in $204. On September 27<sup>th,<\/sup> there will be a low-light 100-yard steel egg shoot starting at 7:30 pm.&nbsp; Sight-in time will begin earlier.&nbsp; Oct. 12<sup>th<\/sup> is the next 100-yard steel egg shoot from 9 am till 3 pm.&nbsp; Oct. 26<sup>th<\/sup> is the next 200-yard stee gong match from 9 am till 3 pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Membership<\/strong>:&nbsp; &nbsp;Brian took in $150, maintenance fund $15, and general fund $135. Key cards were $0.&nbsp; The total membership is 587, of which 449 are senior\/life charter members.&nbsp; There are 40 new members for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Old Business:<\/strong> &nbsp;The new flagpole in front of the hall has been installed.&nbsp; Thank you to Joe, Ralph, Al, Tom, and Jim for their effort put into this project.&nbsp; Also, thank you to members of the Rendezvous who raised the flag for the first time on the new pole.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Business: &nbsp;<\/strong>The 100-yard rifle backstop has been extended for rimfire use only.&nbsp; If you are using anything other than a .22 caliber gun, please continue to use the original backstop with the black belting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Good of the Association:&nbsp; <\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8:32 pm \u2013 Meeting adjourned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moraine Conservation and Sportsman\u2019s Club Meeting Minutes September 8, 2025 7:00 pm \u2013 The board of directors met before the general membership meeting.
