These are the items that were discussed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discussed purchasing some signs to put around the club perimeter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>7:34 pm \u2013 The meeting was called to order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Introduction of Officers<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary\/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: Chris read the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bills and Communications<\/strong>:&nbsp; Chris said our fall taxes will be due.&nbsp; The early fee to pay is $2,501.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pop: <\/strong>Money brought in was used to purchase more pop to put in the fridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rental Committee Report:<\/strong> &nbsp;August 21<sup>st,<\/sup> the pistol team will be using the hall.&nbsp; &nbsp;On Aug. 23<sup>rd,<\/sup> the hall is rented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pistol Team<\/strong>: &nbsp;&nbsp;The outdoor league shoots on Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trap Team:&nbsp; <\/strong>The next trap shooting practices will be on Sept. 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, &nbsp;16<sup>th<\/sup>, and 30<sup>th<\/sup> from 5 pm till dark.&nbsp; Practices will continue to rotate every other Tuesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Black Powder \/ Meat Shoots<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike reported that there will not be any meat shoots till after the Rendezvous, which will be held over Labor Day weekend.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Junior Rifle Team<\/strong>:&nbsp; Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes.&nbsp; Contact Mike Ripley if interested.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Archery:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fun Indoor Shoot:<\/strong>&nbsp; No report.&nbsp; The \u201cfun shoot\u201d is on break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rifle:<\/strong>&nbsp; Al took in $215, expenses were $12, and turned in $203. The next 200-yard steel gong match will be held on August 24<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; Shooting begins around 9 am and continues till about 3 pm.&nbsp; September 7<sup>th<\/sup> will be a combination shoot combining paper and steel targets at the 100 and 200 yard distances.&nbsp; On September 27<sup>th,<\/sup> there will be a low-light 100-yard steel egg shoot starting at 7 pm.&nbsp; Sight-in time will begin earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Membership<\/strong>:&nbsp; &nbsp;Brian took in $45, maintenance fund $5, and general fund $40. Key cards were $0.&nbsp; The total membership is 583, of which 446 are senior\/life charter members.&nbsp; There are 36 new members for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Old Business:<\/strong> &nbsp;Nothing to report.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Business: &nbsp;<\/strong>Discussed the option of purchasing a spreader for the tractor to spread some lime around the club.&nbsp; The new flagpole is going to be installed on August 23<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Good of the Association:&nbsp; <\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8:02 pm \u2013 Meeting adjourned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendance \u2013 13 people<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moraine Conservation and Sportsman\u2019s Club Meeting Minutes August 11, 2025 7:00 pm \u2013 The board of directors met before the general membership meeting.
