These are the items that were discussed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discussed running some electricity into the rifle building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discussed revamping the rifle range in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>7:30 pm \u2013 The meeting was called to order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Introduction of Officers<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary\/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: Chris read the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bills and Communications<\/strong>:&nbsp; Nothing to report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pop: <\/strong>No report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rental Committee Report:<\/strong>&nbsp; Aug. 23<sup>rd<\/sup> the hall is rented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pistol Team<\/strong>: &nbsp;&nbsp;The outdoor league shoots on Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trap Team:&nbsp; <\/strong>Jim reported for practices from 5-25 through 6-25.&nbsp; The team took in $296, expenses were $217, kept $23, and turned in $24.The next trap shooting practices will be on Aug 5<sup>th<\/sup> and 19<sup>th<\/sup> from 5 pm till dark.&nbsp; Practices will continue to rotate every other Tuesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Black Powder \/ Meat Shoots<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike reported that there will not be any meat shoots till after the Rendezvous which will be held over Labor Day weekend.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Junior Rifle Team<\/strong>:&nbsp; Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes.&nbsp; Contact Mike Ripley if interested.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Archery:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fun Indoor Shoot:<\/strong>&nbsp; No report.&nbsp; The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am, with the first shoot starting around 10 am.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rifle:<\/strong>&nbsp; Al took in $200, expenses were $0, and turned in $200. &nbsp;He reported that quite a few shooters shot in the new American Hunter class and that he will continue that class due to the interest.&nbsp; The next 100-yard steel egg shoot will be held on August 10<sup>th<\/sup>. &nbsp;The next 200-yard steel gong match will be held on August 24<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; Shooting begins around 9 am and continues till about 3 pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Membership<\/strong>:&nbsp; &nbsp;Brian took in $45, maintenance fund $5, and general fund $40. Key cards were $0.&nbsp; The total membership is 582, of which 445 are senior\/life charter members.&nbsp; There are 35 new members for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Old Business:<\/strong> &nbsp;The pistol team made some improvements to the target holders on the outdoor pistol range.&nbsp; They also did an excellent job cleaning up the side berms of the range.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Business: &nbsp;<\/strong>Nothing new to report.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Good of the Association:&nbsp; <\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7:52 pm \u2013 Meeting adjourned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moraine Conservation and Sportsman\u2019s Club Meeting Minutes July 14, 2025 7:00 pm \u2013 The board of directors met before the general membership meeting.
