These are the items that were discussed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discussed a flagpole purchase and what it will take to install.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>7:31 pm \u2013 The meeting was called to order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Introduction of Officers<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary\/Trap, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder(absent), Al Vogan- Rifle, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: Chris read the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bills and Communications<\/strong>:&nbsp; Nothing to report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pop: <\/strong>No report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rental Committee Report:<\/strong>&nbsp; Aug. 23<sup>rd<\/sup> the hall is rented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pistol Team<\/strong>: &nbsp;&nbsp;The outdoor league has resumed and will be on Thursday nights from 2 pm till dark.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trap Team:&nbsp; <\/strong>The next trap shooting practices will be on July 8<sup>th<\/sup> and 22<sup>nd<\/sup> from 5 pm till dark.&nbsp; Practices will continue to rotate every other Tuesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Black Powder \/ Meat Shoots<\/strong>:&nbsp; No report.&nbsp; There is a meat shoot on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Sunday of every month.&nbsp; The shoot starts at 11 am and is open to members and the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Junior Rifle Team<\/strong>:&nbsp; Looking for anyone interested in leading junior shooting classes.&nbsp; Contact Mike Ripley if interested.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Archery:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fun Indoor Shoot:<\/strong>&nbsp; No report.&nbsp; The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am, with the first shoot starting around 10 am.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rifle:<\/strong>&nbsp; Al took in $118, expensed were $8, and turned in $110. &nbsp;Al mentioned with all the new shooters entering the events he is considering breaking the events into two classes.&nbsp; He is also thinking of having a unique \u201cend-of-season\u201d shoot in September. &nbsp;The next 100-yard steel egg shoot will be held on July 13<sup>th<\/sup>. &nbsp;The next 200-yard steel gong match will be held on July 20<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; Shooting begins around 9 am and continues till about 3 pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Membership<\/strong>:&nbsp; &nbsp;Brian took in $180, maintenance fund $20, and general fund $160. Key cards were $0.&nbsp; The total membership is 581, of which 444 are senior\/life charter members.&nbsp; There are 34 new members for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Old Business:<\/strong> &nbsp;Nothing to report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Business: &nbsp;<\/strong>Joe announced that some members of the pistol team are making some improvements to the target holders on the outdoor range.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Good of the Association:&nbsp; <\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8:25 pm \u2013 Meeting adjourned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moraine Conservation and Sportsman\u2019s Club Meeting Minutes June 9, 2025 7:00 pm \u2013 The board of directors met before the general membership meeting.
