Introduction of Officers<\/strong>: Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary, Roger Carfangia- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Tom Horstman- Trap (absent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: Chris read the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bills and Communications<\/strong>: Chris announced the club paid $865.24 to Jim Hacke in materials to run electricity out to the new garage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pop: <\/strong>Steve turned in $3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rental Committee Report:<\/strong> Penn State turned in $600 for range rentals. SRU will be renting on Oct. 12 from 4 pm-9 pm. SRU will be renting on Nov. 9th<\/sup> from 9 am \u2013 4 pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pistol Team<\/strong>: Rodger announced that the new indoor pistol range renovations are completed and that the indoor range is open again to shoot. Rodger took in $1,756, had expenses of $1,449, kept $92, and turned in $215. 22 cal. & Centerfire 32, 38, & 45 cal. All welcome to come practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trap Team: <\/strong>Nothing to turn in. Sign-ups will begin for a winter trap league. If interested stop on a Tuesday at the range during a practice or let Tom or Jim know. The range is open every other Tuesday until further notice. The next shoots will be on Oct. 5th<\/sup> and 19th<\/sup>. It cost $3.50 per round of 25 targets and starts at 5 pm. Anyone is welcome to come and shoot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Black Powder<\/strong>: Mike reported that the rendezvous took in $1,922, expenses of $400, kept $88, turned in $1,434. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Meat Shoot:<\/strong> Mike took in $130, expenses of $65, kept $20, turned in $45. Meat shoots are on the 2nd<\/sup> Sunday of each month at 11:00 am. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Junior Rifle Team<\/strong>: Mike Ripley is no longer running the Junior Rifle team. Anyone that is interested in taking over please contact Mike or a board of directors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Archery:<\/strong> The 20, 30, 40-yard range is open down at the end of trap fields. Due to the interest in people using the range, it looks like it\u2019s here to stay! We are looking for anyone interested in building some tin roofs over top of the archery targets. If interested in helping or taking on this project, please contact a board of directors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Fun Indoor Shoot: <\/strong> Dickie announced that the fun shoots have started. He reported nothing to turn in yet. They shoot every Monday at 10 am-till the shooting is done. Doors open at 9 am. Everyone is welcome. .22 caliber rifles from a rested position. Closest to bullseye wins a prize. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Membership<\/strong>:\u00a0 \u00a0Brian collected a total of $585, maintenance fund $60, general fund $525, key cards $50.\u00a0 New members 113.\u00a0 The current membership is 480 senior life\/charter members, 654 total club members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Old Business:<\/strong> Steve announced that the new indoor archery targets inside the main hall are ready to use. Steve reported that there were about 20 kids that registered for the Hunter Safety Program that was held at the club on September 28th<\/sup> & 29th<\/sup>. Jim cleaned some of the gutters out that were plugged with leaves. Looking for volunteers to build tin roofs over top of the outdoor archery range targets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n New Business: <\/strong>The project of running electricity out to the new garage building has been completed. A big thanks go out to members Tom Fischer, Jim Hacke, and Mike Graham for taking on this task as it was not an easy one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Good of the Association: <\/strong> Jim Hacke announced a special thanks to all who have donated their time to help with improvements around the club this year. The club stays running each year with members who volunteer their time. Anyone interested in helping with any improvements or projects at Moraine Sportsman\u2019s Club please contact Steve Gustkey. Steve has started a book for the club that is documenting all the maintenance that needs to be done each year.
