These are the items that were discussed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Will have the boiler seasonal tune-up done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7:32 pm &#8211; Meeting was called to order<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Introduction of Officers<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary, Roger Carfangia- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Tom Horstman- Trap (absent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: Chris read the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bills and Communications<\/strong>:&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Chris announced the club paid $865.24 to Jim Hacke in materials to run electricity out to the new garage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pop: <\/strong>Steve turned in $3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rental Committee Report:<\/strong>&nbsp; Penn State turned in $600 for range rentals.&nbsp; SRU will be renting on Oct. 12 from 4 pm-9 pm. SRU will be renting on Nov. 9<sup>th<\/sup> from 9 am \u2013 4 pm.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pistol Team<\/strong>:&nbsp; Rodger announced that the new indoor pistol range renovations are completed and that the indoor range is open again to shoot.&nbsp; Rodger took in $1,756, had expenses of $1,449, kept $92, and turned in $215.&nbsp; 22 cal. &amp; Centerfire 32, 38, &amp; 45 cal. All welcome to come practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trap Team:&nbsp; <\/strong>Nothing to turn in.&nbsp; Sign-ups will begin for a winter trap league.&nbsp; If interested stop on a Tuesday at the range during a practice or let Tom or Jim know.&nbsp; The range is open every other Tuesday until further notice.&nbsp; The next shoots will be on Oct. 5<sup>th<\/sup> and 19<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;It cost $3.50 per round of 25 targets and starts at 5 pm.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Anyone is welcome to come and shoot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Black Powder<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike reported that the rendezvous took in $1,922, expenses of $400, kept $88, turned in $1,434.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meat Shoot:<\/strong> &nbsp;Mike took in $130, expenses of $65, kept $20, turned in $45.&nbsp; Meat shoots are on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Sunday of each month at 11:00 am. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Junior Rifle Team<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mike Ripley is no longer running the Junior Rifle team.&nbsp; Anyone that is interested in taking over please contact Mike or a board of directors.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Archery:<\/strong>&nbsp; The 20, 30, 40-yard range is open down at the end of trap fields.&nbsp; Due to the interest in people using the range, it looks like it\u2019s here to stay!&nbsp; We are looking for anyone interested in building some tin roofs over top of the archery targets.&nbsp; If interested in helping or taking on this project, please contact a board of directors.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fun Indoor Shoot: <\/strong>&nbsp;Dickie announced that the fun shoots have started.&nbsp; He reported nothing to turn in yet.&nbsp; They shoot every Monday at 10 am-till the shooting is done. &nbsp;Doors open at 9 am.&nbsp; Everyone is welcome.&nbsp;&nbsp; .22 caliber rifles from a rested position. Closest to bullseye wins a prize.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Membership<\/strong>:\u00a0 \u00a0Brian collected a total of $585, maintenance fund $60, general fund $525, key cards $50.\u00a0 New members 113.\u00a0 The current membership is 480 senior life\/charter members, 654 total club members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Old Business:<\/strong> &nbsp;Steve announced that the new indoor archery targets inside the main hall are ready to use.&nbsp; Steve reported that there were about 20 kids that registered for the Hunter Safety Program that was held at the club on September 28<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; 29<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; Jim cleaned some of the gutters out that were plugged with leaves.&nbsp; Looking for volunteers to build tin roofs over top of the outdoor archery range targets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Business:&nbsp; <\/strong>The project of running electricity out to the new garage building has been completed.&nbsp; A big thanks go out to members Tom Fischer, Jim Hacke, and Mike Graham for taking on this task as it was not an easy one.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Good of the Association:&nbsp; <\/strong>&nbsp;Jim Hacke announced a special thanks to all who have donated their time to help with improvements around the club this year.&nbsp; The club stays running each year with members who volunteer their time.&nbsp; Anyone interested in helping with any improvements or projects at Moraine Sportsman\u2019s Club please contact Steve Gustkey.&nbsp; Steve has started a book for the club that is documenting all the maintenance that needs to be done each year.&nbsp; If we add names of willing volunteers to the book it will help when some of these projects arise.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8:20 pm \u2013 Motion to adjourn<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>7:00 pm \u2013 Board of Directors met prior to the general membership meeting.
