Meeting Minutes for January 9, 2017
7:00pm – Board of Directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the list of issues that were discussed:
- John Hiser paid normal utility bills.
- 2016 Summary shows we should have money for some club improvements in 2017
- Question was brought up about getting brighter lights over indoor range
- Group expenses and forms may be reevaluated on what is turned into club,
- along with club supplies and mowing bills.
7:39pm – Meeting was called to order – Pledge of Allegiance & Conservation pledge
Introduction of Officers: Stephen Gustkey-Pistol, Mike Cumberland-President, Jim Hacke- Secretary, Brian Jesteadt-Membership, Mike Ripley-Jr. Rifle/Black Powder and Tom Horstman- Trap.
Treasurer’s Report: John Hiser reported there was noting new this month to report.
Pop: Steve turned in $8 from pop sales out of fridge.
Rental Committee Report: January 14 will be a firearms safety class at club being directed by US Law Shield. Is free to all members and $10 to non members. Seats filling up quickly so don’t hesitate to register.
Pistol Team: Pistol team had nothing to report other then they will be shooting at home over the next couple weeks.
Trap Team: Tom is turning in $39.62 from hosting the Little League Shoot on January 8, 2017.
Black Powder: Mike reported they had their yearly deer hunt after Christmas. Low turn out from last meat shoot so noting to turn in from that.
Junior Rifle Team: Due to the large turn out of kids Junior Rifle is now being split up into 2 groups of beginner and advanced. Advanced shooters will be meeting on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month while beginners will be shooting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
Archery: Still looking for members who want to put together a team of shooters to practice.
Fun Indoor Shoot: Dickie turned in $130 from 2 nights of shooting. They shoot 1st, 3rd and 4th Monday every month @ 7pm. everyone is welcome. Open sights with .22 caliber rifles from a rested position.
Membership: Brian read new memberships and collected $3,360 of which $345 to maintenance fund and $3015 to general fund. Brian mentioned there are still about 350 existing members that still need to renew by February 13, 2017.
Old Business: Jon Hiser said he is still working on getting the CMP correspondence forms filled out and submitted. BOD announced again that they will be meeting on January 16, 2017 at 7 pm to discuss projects and upgrades that need done around club. They welcomed any member who has an idea to contact a BOD via email of phone so their ideas can be added to the list.
New Business: Dickie requested the club looks into getting some brighter lighting above the indoor range.
