Meeting Minutes April 11, 2022
7:00 pm – Board of Directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:
· Steve said the floors in the hall are now done.
· Steve is still working on some bids to make one of the front entrances easier to access.
· Will be having the hall’s water system serviced.
7:31 pm – Meeting was called to order
Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President(absent), Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary, Roger Carfangia- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Tom Horstman- Trap(absent).
Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.
Bills and Communications: Nothing to report.
Pop: Steve turned in $4.
Rental Committee Report: May 18th SRU police (all day), Aug 19th outdoor pistol championship (all day).
Pistol Team: Rodger reported for 2 matches. They took in $138, had expensed $63, kept $22, and turned in $53. Rodger reported he will turn in money from the previous sectional match next meeting. The pistol team gathers on Thursdays at 5 pm to shoot 22 cal. & Centerfire 32, 38, & 45 cal. All welcome to come practice.
Trap Team: Jim reported practice nights on Tuesdays will be starting sometime in May.
Black Powder: Nothing to report this month.
Meat Shoot: Mike reported for 2 meat shoots. He took in $260, had expenses of $130, kept $0, and turned in $275. The meat shoots are held on the 2nd Sunday of every month. They start at 11 am and are open to members and the public.
Junior Rifle Team: Mike Ripley is no longer running the Junior Rifle team. Anyone that is interested in taking over please contact Mike or a board of directors.
Archery:
Fun Indoor Shoot: Barry Geagan was absent tonight.
Membership: Brian collected a total of $330, maintenance fund $35, general fund $295, and key cards $20. New members for the year 2022 are 40. The current membership is 453 senior life/charter members, 617 total club members.
Old Business: Steve still looking for 2 more volunteers for the hall improvement committee.
New Business: Steve announced on April 14th that they will be cleaning the lead out of the indoor pistol backstop. Steve put some basic tools in the garage to service property and equipment. The riding mower will need a new choke cable.
Good of the Association: Congratulations to Rodger Carfangia for placing 2nd in the western Pa sectional match and to Brian Jesteadt for placing 3rd. Rodger also received 1st in the expert class in the Ohio indoor state championship.
